Les Dawson as the Cook
One of this country's most popular pantomime dames in recent years, Les took his style of dame from that of Norman (over the garden wall) Evans, a great variety and pantomime star in the 1940's and 1950's. His dame, like Arthur Askey before him, needed little in the way of make-up. He was every inch the traditional Pantomime Dame. He ranks among the great Dames of recent times, along with Jack Tripp, Billy Dainty, Terry Scott and John Inman.
