Cinderella, Theatre Royal Leeds

1938

Presented by Francis Laidler, the pantomime impresario. Every one of his pantomimes featured a juvenile troupe called 'Francis Laidler's Little Sunbeams'. His flagship, the Alhambra Theatre Bradford, still upholds the name 'Sunbeams' for its juveniles to this day. This production featured 'Kirby's Flying Ballet', a company still responsible for many flying effects today, who performed 'Flights from the stage into the auditorium'. Albert Modley the Yorkshire comedian starred in this production.
